Your Information, Handled with Care

1. Information we collect

We collect the information you provide and a few technical basics:

• Account details — name, email, and city or ZIP code.
• Profile content — your bio, dog profiles, photos, preferences, and the details you choose to add.
• Sensitive fields — emergency contacts, vet information, and medication needs, which you control the sharing of.
• Usage data — basic logs and device information used to operate and secure the Platform.
• Location data — approximate or precise location, including in the background only if you turn on Lost-Dog Listening, used to note where a lost dog was seen (see Section 7).
• Device & tag data — if you use a PawTag^™ or PawPort^™, the Bluetooth signals, hardware identifiers, battery, and motion your devices report, tied to your dog.
• Notification tokens — a push token for your device so we can send the alerts you ask for (such as a sighting of your lost dog).
• Payment data — handled by our payment processor; Pawsada does not store full card numbers.

2. What stays private

Your exact address, phone number, and private email are never displayed publicly. Location is shown only as a general area or distance. Sensitive dog details — such as vet information, medication needs, and emergency contacts — are visible only to members you have connected and accepted.

3. How we use your information

• to operate the Platform and your membership;
• to help you browse, connect, and message other members;
• to process payments and provide support;
• to keep the network safe and enforce our Member Agreement;
• to power lost-dog recovery — Lost Mode and the PawNet^™ network — when you choose to use it;
• to send service messages and, with your consent, updates.

4. How we share information

We share profile information with other members as part of how the network works, according to your visibility settings. We use trusted service providers (such as hosting, database, payments, background-location, push-notification, and hardware/gateway providers) to operate the Platform; they process data only on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the network.

When a dog is reported lost and its owner turns on Lost Mode, a phone that detects that dog shares the approximate location and time of the sighting with that dog’s owner only. The owner is never told who reported it, and sightings are never public.

5. Your choices

• edit or remove most profile information at any time;
• control which details connected members can see;
• request access to or deletion of your account data;
• turn Lost-Dog Listening on or off at any time, and grant or revoke location, Bluetooth, and notification permissions in your device settings;
• opt out of non-essential communications.

6. Data retention & security

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no system can be guaranteed completely secure. Location sightings collected through Lost Mode are deleted once the dog is marked found.

7. Location, Bluetooth & PawTag^™ devices

Pawsadaoffers optional features that use your device’s location and Bluetooth to help reunite lost dogs. These are off until you turn them on.

• Lost-Dog Listening (PawNet^™). If you opt in, your phone can detect the Bluetooth tag of a dog whose owner has reported it lost and report the approximate location and time of that detection so the owner can be alerted. This may use your location in the background. We request the lowest accuracy needed, record a location only at the moment a lost dog is detected— never a continuous history of your movements — and share it only with that dog’s owner. You are never identified to the owner, and you can turn this off at any time.
• Your own dog’s PawTag^™ / PawPort^™. If you use these devices, they report Bluetooth presence, hardware identifiers, battery, and motion tied to your dog, so you can see activity and home arrivals.
• Bluetooth. We use Bluetooth scanning solely to detect Pawsada tags — never to derive your location for any other purpose.

Device permissions (location, Bluetooth, notifications) are always controlled by your phone’s settings. Pawsada is not a tracking or guaranteed-recovery service — detection depends on a participating device passing nearby.

8. Children

Pawsada is intended for adults. The Platform is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
