About Colby
Colby is a 5–6-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing 9–10 pounds with tan and black coloring. This bright, affectionate boy is highly intelligent and food-motivated, already knowing commands like come, sit, stay, no, and down, and he loves training sessions. He has higher energy than many small dogs and thrives with regular activity including daily walks and outdoor time, though he's equally happy to snuggle when it's time to relax. Colby is house trained, does well alone for several hours, walks beautifully on leash, and generally friendly with other dogs, though he can be vocal when dogs are across the street and may guard his food around them. He would do best in a calm, adult-only home, as young children make him nervous and he may react defensively when uncomfortable. He is also protective of his home environment and may need patience when adjusting to new people, but with structure, consistency, and kind guidance, he continues to make great progress and will be an incredibly loyal, loving companion.
