Oh — hi! Luna here.
I survived neglect, a sketchy diagnosis, and six months of rescue magic—turns out all I needed was medication, proper food, and someone who actually believed in me.
Apparently I'm a quick study — my notes mention I already know a trick or two.
I'm a seasoned soul, which is a fancy way of saying I've perfected the art of the afternoon nap and the grateful sigh.
I'm a Hayward local, just waiting on the right person.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
Who knows — by Labor Day I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.
Thanks for spending a minute with me. I'll be right here, tail ready, hoping it's you. — Luna

About Luna
Adopt Luna . Luna’s journey has been a very long one. She was originally helped by a good Samaritan. Someone saw an emaciated dog tied by a leash to her dog house and it was Luna. She asked the owner to surrender and luckily they did. Luna lived her whole life in neglect which caused her organs to not be so healthy. It took 6 months to rehabilitate Luna. At one point a doctor said to humanely euthanize her because she was never going to get better and something might have been wrong like cancer. Finally after seeing a specialist we found out one of her organs was decreased in values. Her neglect led to Pancreas issues. She is on medication now which has had great effects! She is finally at a healthy weight and doing so great. We really appreciate foster mom for putting in the work for Luna. She had no one to help her and foster mom stepped up. Literally saved her life. Luna loves squeaky toys, loves to chase things and to go on walks. Luna might be about 8 years old and has her whole life to live to live. We would love for her to find a family that can give her the life she deserved. Not a life where she was chained up and tortured. If anyone is interested in adopting Luna please messages or fill out our adoption application. Should be an only dog home for now She might be a little visually impaired since she uses her nose a lot! High prey drive Loves squeaky toys Loves people Crate trained Treat motivated The last photos of Luna show her neglect and where she was tied up. Located in San Jose ca
