Oh — hi! Oaks here.

I'm basically a 48-pound couch potato with serious family commitment issues—I just happen to need yours to be the one I'm extremely loyal to.

My notes call me gentle and a little shy — I warm up fast once I trust you, though.

I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.

I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.

I'm a Bandera local, just waiting on the right person.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

Who knows — by Halloween I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.

Thanks for spending a minute with me. I'll be right here, tail ready, hoping it's you. — Oaks

About Oaks

Oaks is a 1.5-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer and German Shepherd mix weighing about 48 pounds. He is neutered, healthy, and up to date on vaccinations. Oaks is potty trained, crate trained, and good in the car; he lives well with six children (ages 2 and up) and six other dogs, and bonds deeply with his family. He is smart and laid back with people he knows, though a little timid with strangers, and he has a naturally protective nature. Oaks would do well with a family with children ages 8 and older and would make an excellent walking or jogging companion with his long legs and moderate shedding coat.
