The rescue’s notes on Jake
Jake had a very rough start. Some lunatic locked him in a crate as a pup with a collar on him that became horribly embedded. When we first got him out of the shelter, he didn't trust anyone. We had a wonderful trainer work with him and he slowly gained trust. He is still wary of new people. He LOVES OTHER DOGS. the key to his heart is thru another dog. He MUST have another dog in the home. When he sees you with another dog, he learns to trust quickly. This guy just needs a chance. His pix don't do him justice. He is VERY HANDSOME. He is very active yet can chill easily. A fairly quiet home would be best., with dog savvy people. NO KIDS. He walks well on a leash, knows some commands. learns quickly. He will become your velcro buddy quickly once you gain his trust. he will give and another dog a devoted companion.
