The rescue’s notes on SHIH TZU ACE
Ace is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu weighing 13 lbs who was found abandoned in rural middle Tennessee and spent time in animal control before being adopted. He is affectionate and loves to snuggle, seeking constant attention from his current family and enjoying walks. Ace shows nervousness around men and can be snappy or nippy, particularly toward male household members, though calming treats and a calming collar have helped him rest more peacefully throughout the day. He would do best in a home with an experienced adopter familiar with anxious or previously mistreated small dogs, ideally a single woman or a couple who can provide patience and help him rebuild trust.
