Oh, hello you! Charlie Girl here.

I'm still learning what home feels like, but something tells me I'll know it the moment I meet you.

Word is I'm a championship snuggler. I don't like to brag, but the notes don't lie.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.

I've been holding down the fort in Seattle, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Labor Day could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — Charlie Girl

About Charlie Girl

Animal Information: Charlie Girl is an estimated 12-18-month old 40 lb now spayed female mixed breed (possibly Whippet/Malinois) with epic ears and a fantastic temperament. She was found as a stray (with Handsome Jack) on a large ranch property and processed thru COH Animal Control. She was given just 72 hrs because the shelter was beyond capacity so PAWHI stepped in and found her (and Jack) foster placement. In foster care Charlie has learned house-training, crate-training, and leash-training, is comfortable with handling, takes treats gently and shows no behavior issues like resource guarding. She is social and friendly with dogs and people including young children. She has not been evaluated with cats. This sweet and easy going girl is joining Dog Gone Seattle and we look forward to getting to know her in foster care. Foster Profile: Meet Charlie! Charlie is a 1½-year-old Whippet/Shepherd mix with the sweetest personality. She is affectionate, friendly, and eager to please. She settled into foster care immediately, warming up to everyone she met with a gentle, submissive nature and no signs of aggression. She loves playing with other dogs (of all sizes) but would also do well as the only dog in a home with plenty of love and the occasional playdate. She is crate trained, potty trained, rides well in the car, and is wonderfully quiet. Highly food-motivated and eager to learn, Charlie already knows sit, down, and touch. At just a year and a half old, she's fast, fit, and agile, making her an ideal companion for an active family. She'll thrive with adopters who will keep both her body and mind engaged through exercise, enrichment, and continued training—she truly enjoys learning and catches on quickly. Charlie does have a prey drive and has not been tested with cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. She has not lived in a home with children but likely do well in a home with dog savvy older children. If you're looking for a smart, loving companion who's ready for adventures and will happily soak up all the pets and affection you can give, Charlie may be the perfect match. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).
