About Nicky
Nicky is an estimated 4-year-old, 55-pound black Labrador Retriever mix. This affectionate, goofy boy was a stray intake after being hit by a car and has recovered well with no fractures. He passed his temperament test with both dogs and people, walks well on leash, and shows no resource guarding or destructive behavior with toys. Nicky loves to cuddle and snuggle with his people, plays well with other dogs, is friendly with children, and enjoys toys—especially tug-of-war with his rope toy. He does well in his crate and has some basic commands down, though he could use continued work on leash manners. Nicky is curious about cats and will watch from a distance, but he does want to bark at chickens. He's a quiet dog who only barks when he feels he needs to guard the house, and he's equally content being independent in the yard or spending time cuddling with his family.
