Well, hello! Joy FH here.

I'm nervous at first, but give me time and quiet—I bloom into the sweetest companion, especially with a confident dog friend and patient hands to show me home.

My notes call me gentle and a little shy — I warm up fast once I trust you, though.

I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.

I'm a Sanford local, just waiting on the right person.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

Who knows — by Halloween I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.

Thanks for spending a minute with me. I'll be right here, tail ready, hoping it's you. — Joy FH

About Joy FH

Meet Joy Joy came to PRBJ from a partnering rescue group in Puerto Rico. Since this sweet pup was found living in the streets no one knows what she has experienced. Joy is nervous when meeting people or being in new situations. She will need a patient owner to help her feel safe. We believe she would do well in a home with another confident dog to show her the ropes and help her understand what it is like to be part of a family. She is more comfortable around women vs men. She does seem to like children although she does not really respond well to the loud sounds like screaming and yelling. Important Information for New Puppy Parents Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential. We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning. Joy did attend Doglando and got some basic pup training for two weeks but she will need to continue training with her family. **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Let's set them up for a lifetime of love and success
