I've learned the hard way that cats and I aren't compatible, but with the right dog-loving humans—especially ones without felines—I'm genuinely your devoted companion.

They wrote that I love to play. Understatement. I'd hike, fetch, and nap with you, in that order.

About DAVEY

Coming to us as a stray after entering his finderâs yard and chasing their cats, Davey is counting on his perfect family finding him! This 3 year old awaited our officerâs arrival in the arms of his finder, as he was perfectly pleasant, friendly and sweet with all the humans â even their child! Now the cats, that was a different story! He even got a few cat scratches, and rightly so, while he was actively chasing them! He had no ID, no chip and remained here on his stray hold with no family coming to claim him, so NOW he is searching for his perfect CATless family to find him and love him forever! Since he has been here, he met a similar sized spayed female and greeted her with nose-to-nose sniffs - to which her response was a precious play bow! Sweet Davey tried to emulate his friendâs gracefulness, and it was a play bow âbow offâ! The playing ensued and it was a great meeting with his canine pal! We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all. And we do NOT recommend a home with cats for this guy and for the cats in the home! We are a first come, first served and in-person adoption center and are located at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville, NC. We are open for adoption:Monday-Friday 12-5pm Saturdays 11am-2pmAll of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family memberâs health and wellness. We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all.And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet. 3 days for your new pet to decompress3 weeks for your new family member to settle in3 months for them to build trustDaveyâs adoption fee is 80! â NOW thru end of day August 1 is ONLY 40!!Please bring a collar and leash OR purchase a combo from us for only $15 to safely take your new family member home.
