Animal Information: Payton and Marshall are 4 year old, 15 lb Chihuahua mix brothers that joined our rescue from Oklahoma. The boys are sweet, eager to make friends with people and dogs, and have no behavioral concerns noted by the sending rescue. We love their sweet smiles and happy tails and cannot wait to welcome them to the PNW. Foster Profile: Payton is really easygoing. He's a happy guy. He is becoming more and more confident. He has settled in well with my 2-pups, one of which can be kind of difficult. He's a chihuahua who's not the most social guy. When he tells Payton to get lost, Payton listens. He and my resident pup are have not engaged in play just yet, but I can tell Payton would welcome some playtime but he's not pushing it beyond getting into the "play position". It takes my guy some-time to engage in play with fosters. I don't think it would be an issue if he were an only pup. Crate - He's quiet at bedtime in the crate with the exception of a few rumblings in the beginning. He sleeps through the night. When it's not bedtime he curls up on the couch with us and welcomes belly rubs or he just naps beside us. He does his business outside, there have not been any accidents. He's quiet, we have never heard him bark! Even when my pups are barking at something in the yard or someone at the front door-he joins in on the excitement running around, investigating but no bark! He likes veggies, jerky treats etc….he eats his breakfast and dinner with our pups with no guarding or any other issues. His activity level is not crazy high which I thought might be the case at first. A couple of walks, and time out in the yard seem to be good for him. Payton does not seem to have an any "bad habits" like stealing dirty laundry, chewing furniture but we have not had him very long. I will keep you updated! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
