Hi there! Peanut Butter here.

I'm a wrinkled wonder who plays hard, cuddles harder, and absolutely knows you'll fall for my confident charm—just wait until you see me wrestle a toy or sprint to your arms for reassurance.

Word is I'm a championship snuggler. I don't like to brag, but the notes don't lie.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.

I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.

Born and (almost) raised right here in Sedalia.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

If all goes well, I could be curled up with my new pack by Halloween — maybe yours, whether you adopt me or just help me get noticed.

Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Peanut Butter

About Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter is a playful, energetic pup with a curious mind and a big love for her people. She throws herself enthusiastically into playtime, confidently wrestling with her foster puppy friend and happily engaging in games of tug-of-war. Stuffed toys are also a favorite, and she's always ready to find something fun to investigate. While Peanut Butter is confident when it comes to playing and exploring, she has a more sensitive side when she encounters unfamiliar sounds or hears other dogs alerting nearby. When something makes her unsure, she knows exactly where to turn — she'll come running to her person for reassurance and a little extra confidence. After a good hard play session, she's just as happy to climb into your arms for a cuddle. Scratches, pets, and plenty of verbal praise are all excellent ways to make this girl happy, although she'll certainly accept a treat or two as well!Peanut Butter is also learning her canine manners. She loves playing with another foster puppy, while she respectfully leaves the resident dogs alone and takes their boundaries seriously when they aren't interested in interacting. When the day winds down, Peanut Butter is remarkably easygoing. She willingly goes into her crate at bedtime and sleeps peacefully for more than six hours before needing to get up for a potty break. Once morning arrives, she's ready to start the fun all over again.Peanut Butter would love a home where she can have plenty of opportunities to play and explore, followed by the very important puppy tradition of curling up on the couch with her people, watching TV, getting some scratches, and perhaps sharing in a few snacks. She's a sensitive, affectionate, playful girl who is looking for someone who will help her feel confident while enjoying all the silly, sweet puppy moments along the way. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
