I'm eight years of collected wisdom in a fawn coat—friendly, calm, and obedient, with the dry humor of someone who's seen it all and found most of it amusing.

8/27/2026Chuy III is an owner surrender looking for a new home.Hi! My name is Chuy III! I am a handsome 8 year old fawn boy that is an owner surrender due to one of my owner's in hospice care and my owners are financially unable to care for me any longer and are unable to take me with them when moving. I live with Moose, who is also looking for a forever home, but it is not required that we be adopted together. I am described as friendly, smart, calm, affectionate, and obedient! I am said to be dog friendly but have never lived with cats so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly. There are grandkids that come to my home and it is said that I am kid friendly! I am house trained and will need assistance with crate training in my forever home. I like dry dog food with a topper and at night I sleep in my bed or the human's bed. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates. I am not a fan of the vacuum or fly swatter but love riding in the car, hanging out watching tv, and treats! My current owner says I have a "great easy going personality" and that I am "very smart and good with kids". If you think I would make a great addition to your family contact the rescue and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!
