A WONDERFUL LITTLE FRIEND: Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 17 lbs. Hi, I'm Darla! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a home! Thankfully, they took me in, and I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers here and I heard them say that I'm now ready to find a family of my very own. I think that is the best news ever! Plan to come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not like them, so I'd like to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a friendly, happy girl with an active, fun-loving personality and plenty of pep in my step! I can be a little skittish at times, so a little patience and reassurance will help me feel comfortable. I was super calm for my shampoo and ear cleaning during my spa treatment, although the water sprayer made me a bit nervous, so I braced myself against the edge of the tub and did well. I enjoyed my time in the Mostly Mutts playpen and showed everyone what a lovable, happy girl I am. I also enjoyed sitting in my volunteer's lap and soaking up some cuddles. And have you noticed my adorably big ears? They're pretty hard to miss and just add to my irresistible charm! Somehow I got some pup-cup on them when I got to go on a fun daytrip recently lol. I wasn't sure about getting in the car at first so the nice volunteer helped me in and then, oh boy, it was so much fun! We sniffed ALL the plants at Lowe's, steered clear of the questionable Halloween décor, said a respectful hello to the critters at Tractor Supply and had a great time greeting all the people at the park. I could get used to all these adventures. Want to take me with you? / Energy level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning a lot with my trainer! I can be a little reactive to other dogs when leash walking so I am working this now. Check back soon to see what I've learned and let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, though I do sometimes come out fast. / I've had good potty manners at the shelter, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love cozy laps and hanging out with the nice volunteers! I also enjoy being active and having fun with my people. Once we're together in my new home, I'm sure we'll discover lots more things we love doing together! / I'm a little timid of the loud traffic near the shelter and sometimes "pancake" or pull away so maybe we could find a quieter place to walk and like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I'm a wonderful little dog looking for a wonderful family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
