A CALM & LOVING FELLOW: Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 41 lbs. Hi, I'm Matzo! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a home! Thankfully, they took me in, and I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers here and I heard them say that I'm now ready to find a family of my very own. I think that is the best news ever! Plan to come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them so if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet! I also had a nice day trip with a volunteer and her dog, and we enjoyed each other's company. / Cats unknown. / I met a sweet girl on one of my outings with a volunteer, that was around 10 years old and I liked her. I laid down next to her on a bench and put my head in her lap, so if you have kids around this age, let's meet and best no toddlers that I may accidentally bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm an exceptionally sweet, gentle, and loving boy with the manners of a true gentleman—and I'm pretty amazing, too! I'm the sweetest gentleman during my baths, politely lifting each paw for rinsing and rewarding everyone afterward with lots of happy tail wags. I'm also wonderful in the car during my day-trip adventures with the nice volunteers, and I usually drift off to sleep soon after we get going. And get this—I recently shared the trail at Kennesaw Mountain with four horses and wasn't even reactive to them! I also enjoyed meeting lots of new friends at a volunteer's office. What fun! I'm truly a special boy and an absolute joy to be around. Whoever adopts me is going to hit the jackpot because I have so much love, loyalty, and happiness to share—and the best upside-down smile when I sleep on my back! / Energy level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've had some accidents on the shelter schedule, so please keep me on a good take out schedule with positive reinforcement so I can master my potty manners. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love sunbathing, giving and receiving affection, playing a bit in the water on my day trips with the volunteers, going for walks, rolling around in the grass and getting wonderful belly rubs. / I can't think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I'm getting medicated baths twice a week for some itchy skin—just ask about this. These baths can easily be done in my new home. I'm a sweet dog looking for a wonderful family that will treasure me. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
