The rescue’s notes on Geoffrey David

There is a very good reason why this adorable, beautiful Shih Tzu has been at the rescue for over 7 years. Geoffrey David is a special boy, who needs a special person to welcome him into their life. His behavior suggests he was abused from a very early age. When he arrived, this young boy was very untrusting and a defensive biter. After many years of receiving consistent love, care, and compassion, and watching the other dogs enjoy human attention and affection, Geoffrey David has made absolutely remarkable improvements. Geoffrey David is now happy, relaxed, and seeks out attention and petting. He has become much more animated and loves to play with toys. He also enjoys the company of other nice dogs and gets along very well in a group. Geoffrey David still does not want to be picked up, held, or go on a leash, but this will probably also change with more time. When he has reached his limits of petting, he usually lets you know with a little growl, or just walks away. Geoffrey David is about 10 years old and about 15-16 pounds.
