Couldn't sleep either? Hi. Madeline here.

I'm still learning that love isn't scary—once you sit quietly with me, I'll show you the gentle soul hiding beneath this crooked frame.

My file says I've got energy to spare — adventure buddy applications now open.

I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.

I've been holding down the fort in Houston, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Labor Day could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Thanks for spending a minute with me. I'll be right here, tail ready, hoping it's you. — Madeline

About Madeline

Meet Madeline! Meet our adorable, quirky little Madeline. We believe she is a dobe mix, but is smaller than most dobes. Madeline is probably 5 years old and weighs right around 50 pounds. She looks like an abstract Doberman, just a little crooked:) This little girl clearly had a rough beginning. She came to us with very little fur, a nasty skin infection and of course heartworm positive. Her fur is coming back in but she may have some permanent scarring, the infection is gone. Surprisingly, she is heartworm negative Madeline's hips are a little bit off so she has an awkward, prissy, gait. She likes to run and play but should not be a marathon runner. Supplements and occasional meds are all she needs to keep her happily moving on. Madeline is full of love but does not seem to understand small children so probably best that she go to home with older kids, 10 and up, or an adult only household. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this precious girl please fill out the appropriate application. Scout's Honor Rescue covers all costs associated with fostering.
