Hi, new friend! Twinkle here.
I've seen enough shelters to know what matters: a home where someone actually keeps up with me, because this old girl still has miles to run.
Word is I'm a championship snuggler. I don't like to brag, but the notes don't lie.
I'm a San Diego local, just waiting on the right person.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
Who knows — by Labor Day I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.
Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Twinkle

About Twinkle
Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Twinkle Is Ready to Meet You! Twinkle is a beautiful girl who we rescued from the San Bernardino Shelter after she recovered from kennel cough and was in danger due to severe shelter overcrowding. She is happy to greet people of all ages, often waving her front paws in the air when she sees her favorite volunteers . But after the initial greeting, make no mistake—Twinkle prefers activity to lounging or cuddling. While she is a senior on paper, she is not a senior in attitude. Twinkle is a very active dog, often preferring going on a run over a walk. She has great endurance and often has to be coaxed to take breaks. She is good on leash during jogs, but may pull or circle if you are walking too slow for her. Besides exploring for miles, Twinkle also loves water. If you offer her a bowl of water, she'll often opt to dig and splash rather than drink—something that often has people laughing at adoption events. Because of her love for physical exercise, Twinkle can have a hard time settling. She also has a high prey drive that translates to all other animals, so she needs to be your one-and-only with no other dogs, cats, or critters in the home. You also need to keep distance from other dogs on walks, so Twinkle is not a candidate for dog parks or beaches. But while she can't be around other animals, she is more than enough dog to keep a family happy! With her enthusiasm for life and walks/runs, she will make someone a good partner for life. If interested in meeting Twinkle, please fill out an application at www.labradorsandfriends.org. Twinkle is located in Southern California.
