Hi there! Pepper here.
Retriever rules: tennis balls are sacred, puddles are pools, and you are my entire world.
Word is I'm a championship snuggler. I don't like to brag, but the notes don't lie.
I've been holding down the fort in Oakhurst, hoping someone like you would wander by.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
With a little luck, Thanksgiving could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.
Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Pepper

About Pepper
Pepper is a six-year-old lab, pit bull, and hound mix who came to New Jersey four years ago as a stray from Louisiana. She is a friendly and sweet girl with strangers but shy and reserved in her home, where she does best in a quiet household. Pepper loves to snuggle and play with squeaky toys, can be left alone uncrated without being destructive, and knows commands including sit, down, and place. She has medium energy, walks well on leash though she may chase squirrels, and is good in the car and at the groomer; she is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Pepper gets excited to meet dogs on leash but would do best as an only dog due to food and toy guarding, and she has not been around cats or children.
