I'm a 65-pound Lab who survived motherhood and came out funny about it—wary at first, but basically anyone with snacks and patience gets my full loyalty.
Word is I do great with other dogs. I'm easy company: give me a couch and a person and I'm set.
I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.
I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.
I've been holding down the fort in Rockaway, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Layla is a 65-pound Labrador Retriever who was rescued while pregnant and gave birth to eight puppies, all of whom have been adopted. She is intelligent, fun, and bonds quickly with her owner, and she gets along well with other dogs. Layla is initially cautious around new people due to her past experiences, but warms up within minutes when offered treats and time. She would thrive in a slower-paced home with fewer visitors and would enjoy living with another dog.
