Some dogs give their hearts away immediately. Billie prefers to make sure you deserve hers first—and once you earn it, you've got something pretty special. Billie is a sweet little Chihuahua with a gentle, sensitive spirit. New people and unfamiliar situations can make her a little unsure at first, so she appreciates humans who are willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. There's no rushing this girl—but watching her walls come down and her personality begin to shine is absolutely worth the wait. Once Billie decides you're one of her people, that cautious little Chihuahua transforms into an affectionate, devoted companion who loves being close. Cozy lap time, quiet evenings together, and simply hanging out with her favorite human are right up her alley. She forms deep bonds, and when Billie loves you, she really loves you. Another dog is an important part of helping Billie feel confident in the world. She does well with other dogs and must have a confident, well-socialized canine companion in her forever home. Having a furry friend to follow helps Billie navigate new experiences, learn the routine, and understand that everything is going to be okay.
