Hey, friend! Trapper here.

I've learned that second chances taste like open spaces and friendship, and I'm ready to work alongside someone who understands that structure is love.

They say I'm clever. I say I'm just waiting for someone worth showing off for.

I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.

I've been holding down the fort in San Diego, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Halloween could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Trapper

About Trapper

Trapper is a three-year-old male German Shepherd who arrived at the rescue in June 2023 after spending time in a small kennel at a kill shelter. He has made significant progress adjusting to open space and learning to play with people and dogs, and he recently developed a friendship with another female shepherd named Phoebe. Trapper loves working on commands and responds well to structure and routine, so his ideal home would be with someone experienced with German Shepherds who can commit to regular exercise, play, training, and mental enrichment. He currently prefers female canine companions and will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption.
