Oh, hello you! BUDDY here.

I'm a four-month-old dreamer waiting to find my forever person—someone who'll let me nap on their couch and chase tennis balls like they're my whole world.

Word is I'm a championship snuggler. I don't like to brag, but the notes don't lie.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.

I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.

I've been holding down the fort in Bradenton, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Labor Day could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — BUDDY

About BUDDY

Buddy 4 month old Labrador Retriever sport prospect available for adoption in Sarasota, Fl Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven Buddy is one of five boys from an oops litter in rural Alabama. He is 4.5 months old and currently intact. He will be going to his new home on a neuter contract. His mom is a chocolate lab and dad is a black lab with possibly some hound or mountain-type breed. He is solid black and all legs with the cutest floppy ears and hind dew claws. He's a typical active puppy and a blank slate. Completely house broken, doing great with crate training, and walks nicely on leash. He is fine with cats, dogs, kids, men, women and probably aliens too! He loves to nap and cuddle on the couch and he's learning how to play fetch and go on walks in the neighborhood. He is pretty high energy but is able to settle when needed. Sports-wise he can probably do anything you ask of him. He has an amazing nose and shows a lot of natural tracking behaviors. Excellent food drive and good toy drive has been observed. This can also be built with time. He has amazing focus and likes to pay close attention to his human with intense eye contact. He is still a bit shy in public, especially when first coming out of the car crate, but relaxes quickly and is then ready to explore and play. There are many different lifestyles and homes that I feel would be a good fit for Buddy but ideally I'd love to see him in some type of sport scent work or tracking home. Possibly even field and hunt trials. It is still too early to tell if he has true working potential outside of sport, but he has been showing very good environmental confidence and nerves so far. If you are interested in adopting Buddy or one of his siblings please fill out an application on the Ewenity Farm website.
