She came to us from the Devore Shelter alongside her companion Pretty Girl, both rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. She wants to be loved. She wants to be pet. She wants the treats, the snuggles, the comfort of a safe place to call home. With time, space, and patience, Wishbone has begun to open up. In our dog yard, she's found her stride among her canine companions — making friends, finding her tail wags, and showing us glimpses of the joyful pup inside.People are still a work in progress for her. She's cautious, reserved, and needs someone who understands that healing takes time. But she's worth every bit of it. Wishbone would do best in an adult-only home where life is calm and predictable. Another confident dog in the house could really help her continue to blossom.
