Smoochie is a three-year-old pit bull terrier weighing 50 pounds who was rescued from a major New Jersey highway and is now fully vetted and healthy. Though she experienced neglect early in life, her gentle spirit remains unbroken; she is shy at first but quickly warms to people with patience and treats, offering affection and a wagging tail. She is house-trained and crate-trained, enjoys car rides, walking, hiking, and cuddling, and thrives best as the only pet in a calm home where people are present regularly. Through the Forever Foster Program, all of Smoochie's lifetime veterinary care, food, and supplies are covered by the rescue, allowing her to find the stable, loving home she needs without financial burden to her adopter.
