About Louie
Louie is an 8–9-year-old mixed-breed terrier weighing 60 pounds who enjoys a calm lifestyle with his people. This low-energy boy loves lounging at home, following his humans around, and receiving plenty of pets and belly rubs. Louie is crate trained and house trained, and he does well when left alone for 5–7 hours, though he may bark or whine for the first 5–15 minutes of separation. He is in good health with slight hearing loss and a history of a mast cell tumor removed in 2022; he has a hearty appetite despite some wear on his front teeth. Louie needs a home with children ages 10 and older, should be the only pet in the household, and does best with owners who can accommodate his tendency toward dog reactivity on walks and help him build confidence in dog interactions. He thrives on human companionship and would do well with a family ready to give him the steady love and attention he deserves.
