Dixby is an 8-year-old Shepherd mix who was rescued in Texas after being abandoned and living without proper care. He is good with people and other dogs, and this energetic senior enjoys head petting, playing in the yard, walks, chewing on toys, and cuddling on the couch with his family. Dixby is learning commands including sit, wait, come, and off, and would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can play. Despite his difficult past, he is a loving and happy dog eager to be part of a family that will give him the comfortable life he deserves.
