Psst… night owl. Hi. Pear here.
I've been waiting 700 days to find you, and I promise our long walks together will feel like coming home.
They wrote that I love to play. Understatement. I'd hike, fetch, and nap with you, in that order.
I won't fib — there's a little grey on my muzzle. "Older" just means I'm past the wild puppy chaos and all in on cozy company.
I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.
I'm a Dallas local, just waiting on the right person.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
Who knows — by Labor Day I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.
Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — Pear

About Pear
Meet Pear ð At 10 years young, Pear is a distinguished gentleman with the sweetest soul and the goofiest personality. With his handsome grey whiskers and gentle eyes, he may look like a senior, but donât let that fool you. Pear still has plenty of life, love, and silliness left to share. Pear has been waiting over 700 days for a home of his own. Originally from Dallas Animal Services, he found safety in foster care and has been patiently hoping his perfect person would come along ever since. Heâs what we like to call a âsimple guy.â Pear loves being outside, going on long, brisk walks, and rolling around in the grass like itâs the best thing thatâs ever happened to him. Give him a yard and he will happily entertain himself with zoomies, sunbathing, and his signature goofy rolls. He also loves enrichment, especially shredding cardboard or paper, and is very food motivated. Chicken is his love language. At home, Pear is calm, steady, and incredibly easy to live with. He thrives on routine, is potty trained, and does great when left alone with no separation anxiety. Heâll happily nap nearby, follow you from room to room, and greet you with quiet excitement when you come home. Itâs that perfect mix of companionship without being overwhelming. Pear would do best in a quiet, adult-only home (no children under 13) where he can be the only pet. Heâs looking for a peaceful environment without a lot of commotion, and a family willing to let him take things at his own pace, especially when meeting new people. He also does best without a crate, so his future home should be able to accommodate that. While Pear can get a little excited when he sees other animals on leash, heâs working on it and continues to make progress. What he really wants is a calm, loving home where he can feel safe, understood, and finally settled. After all this time, Pear deserves his happily ever after. A yard to roll in, a person to love, and a place to finally call home. Could that be with you? ð Follow his journey: @fernaldfosters All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption.
