Hi there! Buttercup here.

I came all the way from Kabul to find my person, and I'm pretty sure that's you—I've got the charm and loyalty to prove it.

Word is I'm a championship snuggler. I don't like to brag, but the notes don't lie.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.

I've been holding down the fort in Ridgefield, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Labor Day could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Buttercup

About Buttercup

Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption. You may be required to travel if approved for adoption. Meet Buttercup! This sweet girl is a real gem! Buttercup arrived along with a large transport of animals from Kabul, Afghanistan. The area she's from has been hit hard over the years by war and has been left with an incredible number of animals on the streets. This little girl was found at just one month of age, taken in by a rescue, and somehow found her way to us at nearly one year of age. She has been well cared for along the way but now she really needs a loving home and family of her own. After a recent vet visit, her veterinarian reached out to say just how very sweet she is. She's timid and takes time to settle in and get to know you, but once she does, she loves the affection of her people. She is currently in the northeast and is living with another dog in her foster home. It's an adjustment only because she's finally learning what a home and family feels like and she'd like it all for herself - however, our foster and trainer are both working with her to feel secure and really enjoy the other dog in the home. Buttercup is learning what nice long walks are all about, a warm bed, and a full belly, and she's enjoying every minute of the lesson! As with all new pets, Buttercup will need time to decompress and adjust to a new family and new surroundings. She will add pure joy and affection to anyone's life willing to give her the change at a new beginning! Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/. Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone. All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.
