About Franky
Franky J is a 4-year-old, 18-pound Chihuahua mix with a big personality and an absolute love for tiny tennis balls. He is house trained, sweet, playful, and cuddly once he settles in, and he enjoys walks, car rides, and snuggling. Franky does well with other dogs and would thrive best in a home with at least one canine companion, as he struggled as an only dog in his previous home. He is somewhat reactive on leash when other dogs bark at him but settles quickly once he passes them, and his adopters should be willing to continue building his leash skills with patience. Franky should not live with cats, as he has chased and cornered cats in his foster home. While he has not been around children, his foster family believes he could do well with older children who understand respectful dog interaction, though a child-free home may be ideal. Franky is more comfortable with women and can be wary of men, particularly those with beards, though he has warmed up to his foster father over time. He would thrive with patient, confident adopters who can provide structure, regular walks, plenty of companionship, and ideally a yard where he can chase his beloved tennis balls.
