About Dolce

Dolce is a female Rottweiler, approximately 1–3 years old, who is undersocialized and requires an experienced, committed owner. She has completed obedience and e-collar training and knows basic commands, place, and heel. Dolce is energetic and enjoys hiking, running, playing with toys, car rides, and crate time; she has excellent recall and stays calm in the house. She is reactive and insecure under pressure from both humans and dogs due to lack of early socialization, but she is not aggressive and has never bitten. Dolce requires slow, gradual introductions to people on her own terms and will warm up with patience; initial meetings should not include petting. She can live as an only dog or with an existing, calm, well-trained male dog who reads body language well and does not pressure her to play—she does not engage in active play and may never do so. Dolce's new owner must commit to ongoing structure (crate, place, door protocols, heel walks, training drills), be trained by her current handler, and manage her with an e-collar. With time and consistency, she will develop trust and confidence and become a wonderful companion.
