Buttercup is a Chihuahua mix approximately 6–7 years old weighing 14 lbs. Rescued after months living on the streets, she is nervous around new people and takes time to build trust, though she is making progress with socialization. Once she bonds with her person, Buttercup shows affection through tail wags, vocalizations, and shadowing, though she remains shy about being touched and may snap when frightened. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, knows basic commands, enjoys walks and sunbathing, gets along well with calm small to medium-sized dogs, and is food-motivated. Buttercup does best in a patient, child-free home with a confident female owner willing to continue building her confidence over time. She needs a securely fenced yard, prefers a companion dog to bond with and learn from, and should not be left outside alone. She has seasonal allergies managed with medication and is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.
