Awesome affectionate companion German Shepherd patiently waiting for a FEMALE retired dog handler to his new family. He is looking for a patient experienced GSD FEMALE owner (retired military /police/border patrol dog handler/dog trainer with a securely fenced yard. He is NOT a guard dog! He will do well with any female dog his size or he can be the only dog. He is a very loving and affectionate dog to FEMALE humans and female large dogs i.e Shepherd mixes. He is a tad shy at first, but he warms up to FEMALE humans he likes. He likes treats and affection. He will do best in a home where family is active and house noise level is low and a securely fenced yard.. No apartments please or cats. He was abused first year by a man.. He loves car rides. Is leash trained but will need training with new handler. HE DOES NOT LIKE KENNELS! Courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society.
