Rise and shine — hi! Axle here.
I've walked a harder road than most, but I'm ready to trust the right person—preferably one who understands that patience and quiet consistency speak louder than anything else.
Word is I'm a championship snuggler. I don't like to brag, but the notes don't lie.
I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.
Born and (almost) raised right here in San Antonio.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
If all goes well, I could be curled up with my new pack by Halloween — maybe yours, whether you adopt me or just help me get noticed.
Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Axle

About Axle
Axle is a 2.6-year-old, 70-pound German Shepherd looking for an experienced handler—ideally someone with retired military, police, or dog training background—in an active household with a securely fenced yard. He is affectionate and loving with female humans and female dogs his size, though he may be shy at first before warming up. Axle was abused by a man in his first year, does not like kennels, and is not suited for apartments or homes with cats. He is leash trained, enjoys car rides and treats, and will thrive best with a calm home environment and low noise levels.
