Meet Apollo - The Once-Defensive, Now-Doting Uncle Apollo's journey to OURS wasn't exactly smooth. This one-year old pug mix found himself at the shelter, where he was immediately met with what he considered a very rude introduction - vaccinations. We humans know they're necessary, but Apollo wasn't shy about expressing his strong disapproval. His honesty landed him a "rescue only" label, and just like that, he was on borrowed time. Enter OURS. Understandably, Apollo was a little unsure at first. But then - almost overnight - he realized life with us wasn't so bad. In fact, it was pretty great. He's since taken on the role of "Uncle Apollo" to a crew of bottle-fed pug puppies and rambunctious terrier pups, and let us tell you - watching this once-defensive little guy get climbed on and loved by his tiny nieces and nephews is nothing short of heart-melting. Apollo takes a minute to warm up to new people. He might bark at first, but we like to think he's just telling you his story. And once he's shared his tale and decides you're part of it?
