About Ebony
Ebony is a beautiful, intelligent greyhound mix (approximately two years old, 65 lbs) with a big heart and strong capacity to love. Once she earns your trust, she becomes a devoted companion who thrives on being near her people—whether relaxing for pets, joining car rides, or playing with toys. Ebony is a true athlete with both brains and brawn; she has worked extensively with trainers on leash skills and now walks beautifully on lead. She is very smart, eager to learn, and already knows several cues including touch, sit, down, wait, paw, and "on my left." Ebony needs a home with a securely fenced yard and a family committed to daily exercise and mental enrichment through learning new skills and problem-solving activities. She can comfortably see other dogs on walks but prefers to be the only dog in the home, as she can become reactive if another dog gets too close; she cannot be trusted with small dogs or cats due to her prey drive. Ebony is sensitive to loud noises and appreciates patient, understanding people who will help her build confidence in new situations. She is best suited for adopters who are physically capable of handling her strength and committed to continuing her training journey.
