Psst… night owl. Hi. Scout - HOSPICE FOSTER here.

I'm thirteen years of quiet devotion waiting for someone to slow down and sit beside me, where car rides and gentle mornings finally mean forever.

I'm the calm one (it's in writing). A quiet home and a patient hand and I'm yours.

I won't fib — there's a little grey on my muzzle. "Older" just means I'm past the wild puppy chaos and all in on cozy company.

I'm a Plano local, just waiting on the right person.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

Who knows — by Labor Day I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.

Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — Scout - HOSPICE FOSTER

About Scout - HOSPICE FOSTER

Hi, I'm Scout, a gentle and mellow senior of 13, 29 lbs., who loves the quiet life. I get along well with humans and other dogs, though I'm not one for playtime these days. I've been through some health challenges—I have a little arthritis, and I'm managing allergies with medication and weight management food. Despite this, I enjoy spending time in a calm environment with someone who understands my need for patience and care. I'm housetrained; crate trained and can use a potty pad. While I don't go for walks due to my mobility issues, I absolutely adore car rides—I'm calm and quiet as can be! If you have a quiet home with a small, fenced yard and can offer me love and companionship, I'd be so grateful. I may need help getting around and managing furniture, but I promise to be a loyal and loving companion in return. My adoption fee is $100, but if you're a senior yourself (65+), my adoption fee is waived! May need periodic injections for allergies and arthritis. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! NOTE: Hospice fosters have ongoing medical needs that will require care for the rest of their lives. While they remain available for adoption, we carefully screen potential homes to ensure their medical and special needs can be fully supported. BTRNT is committed to providing these dogs with a loving forever home—whether that is through adoption or as a permanent hospice foster within our rescue.
