About Manchego
Manchego is a Dutch Shepherd born in January 2022 who weighs 45 pounds. He is curious, coy, and playful, though he was somewhat sheltered in his previous life and needs practice with leashed walks and meeting new people—he is shy at first but will become a reliable companion with experience and patience. Manchego is social with other dogs and friendly with people. He was surrendered to a shelter with his four siblings and was rescued in January 2025 when at risk of euthanasia. Manchego would thrive in a patient home with a single person or couple willing to help him gain confidence and learn about the world around him.
