MEET ERNIE!! Ernie is a senior Pug/Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a soul that's ready to relax into retirement. At 35 pounds, this silver-faced sweetheart spends most of his day lounging in his cozy dog bed or curled up near his favorite humans. He's all about affection and snacks—though he could stand to lay off the treats just a bit to stay healthy! Ernie is hard of hearing and has some arthritis, but he's otherwise a healthy guy. He's house-trained, uses a doggy door, and gets along well with children and other dogs. Ernie is a gentle, affectionate presence and would thrive in a calm home where someone is around most of the day to keep him company.
