Good morning! Babygirl here.

I arrive already knowing sit, pull slightly on walks because subtlety is for other dogs, and I'm working on not expressing my affection by trying to climb into your actual face.

My notes say I'm a world-class cuddler, and I'd like that on the record.

I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.

I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.

I've been holding down the fort in San Diego, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Halloween could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Thanks for spending a minute with me. I'll be right here, tail ready, hoping it's you. — Babygirl

About Babygirl

Babygirl is a Labrador Retriever who arrived at the rescue in May 2025 with her sister Faith and mother Lila. She is super social with people, greeting volunteers with excitement and eagerness to learn—she already knows sit well and picks up new skills quickly. Babygirl is playful with squeaky toys, walks well on leash overall (though she may pull at the start out of excitement), and does well around joggers, bicycles, and most dogs; she can be reactive if another dog focuses too intently on her, and she is working through some anxiety around busy traffic, particularly cars passing from behind, though she recovers quickly. She is still learning to channel her affection appropriately, as she can be jumpy and mouthy with people she loves, but with consistency she should greet more politely.
