Oh, hello you! Sadie here.

I'm still learning to trust that forever means forever, but with you by my side, I'm ready to build something real and lasting.

I'm the calm one (it's in writing). A quiet home and a patient hand and I'm yours.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.

I've been holding down the fort in Newport Beach, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Halloween could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — Sadie

About Sadie

Sadie's journey hasn't been the easiest. Adopted as a young pup and returned just three months later because she was sick, her world was turned upside down. The transition was so hard on her confidence that she nearly ran out of time at the shelter. We stepped in at the very last second, and now we are determined to show Sadie that "forever" actually means forever. At 1 year old and 45 lbs, Sadie is a sweet soul who is looking for a patient heart to help her bloom. The Key to Sadie's Heart Sadie isn't a "love at first sight" kind of girl—she's a "love built on trust" kind of girl. Routine is Queen: Sadie thrives when she knows what to expect. Predictability helps her feel safe. Familiar Faces: Once she knows you, her "silly" side comes out! She is well-behaved and genuinely enjoys spending time with her favorite volunteers. The Power of a Pack: Sadie is a much more confident walker when she has a doggie sibling by her side. She leans on her furry friends for courage. We always tell potential adopters that first impressions aren't everything in the rescue world. Sadie may be bashful when you first meet, but she is worth the wait.
