He has a calm, easygoing nature, and his idea of a perfect day is simply being close to his person—curled up in your lap or resting quietly by your side. Gus greets everyone with joy and genuine happiness, and his gentle presence has a way of making you feel instantly loved. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and warmly welcomes new fosters into his home with a kind and patient spirit. Gus does have an autoimmune condition that causes some crusting around his eyes and the sides of his mouth. This means he will need a little extra daily care, including gently cleaning his eyes and mouth with a warm cloth, as well as taking daily medication. The medication is quite manageable, with an average monthly cost of about $20. With this simple routine, Gus remains comfortable and continues to thrive.
