Hi, new friend! Scout, a Cavalier, chihuahua mix m,ale here.

I'm a bit rusty at trusting, but I've learned that patience and a calm home work wonders—especially if there's a sensible dog friend who can show me the ropes.

I'm the calm one (it's in writing). A quiet home and a patient hand and I'm yours.

I'm a Arlington local, just waiting on the right person.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

Who knows — by Labor Day I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.

Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Scout, a Cavalier, chihuahua mix m,ale

About Scout, a Cavalier, chihuahua mix m,ale

Scout *King Charles Cavalier-Dachshund-Chihuahua Mix* **Background** Scout is a small and shy 6-year-old mixed-breed dog, consisting of Cavalier King Charles, Dachshund, and Chihuahua, rescued during a hoarding raid. He is the last remaining pup from the six in his family that we took in. Brad is very shy and will need someone with patience and familiarity with a shy dog. **What Scout Needs** Scout is not just looking for a home; he is searching for best friends. With the right amount of love and patience, you will gain a very loving and devoted companion. Scout will do best with one or two very dog-friendly pups in the home that can mentor him and show him the way. Please note that Scout requires a calm, peaceful ADULT-only home to ensure he receives appropriate care and attention. Scout is cautious and shy and will need time to come around independently. He enjoys being talked to and will take treats from your hand. Once he is out of the busy, often chaotic rescue environment and in a warm and loving home, we believe he will begin to open up to his new family. **How to Meet and Adopt Scout** Scout has been switched to a human-grade diet, avoiding kibble in favor of a specifically tailored, healthy canine feeding plan. We have provided him with the best care possible and will continue to support Scout's new owners with guidance on diet and nutrition. To adopt Scout, the $525.00 adoption fee applies. All funds will cover medical expenses and help rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application form using the following link. Please be thorough in your answers and do not leave any blanks. Place an NA in any question that is not applicable to be sure your application is submitted. www.smallpupsrescue.org
