Hi, new friend! Spade here.

I'm a sensitive soul who loves deeply—squeaky toys, blankets, and humans willing to be my personal cushion—but I'll need a home where I'm the only four-legged friend.

Word is I'm a championship snuggler. I don't like to brag, but the notes don't lie.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.

I've been holding down the fort in Oakhurst, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Halloween could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Spade

About Spade

Spade is a gorgeous Boxer Pittie mix who needs a new home without other dogs. Spade is about 1.5 years old. He is a friendly, happy, wiggly-butt with people and plays with the other 3 dogs in his current home when outside. He meets some new dogs on a leash very well, but can be reactive to others. He is housebroken and good in the car, and loves his squeaky toys! Spade is a big lap dog and LOVES to sleep under a blanket. He is good with children, but because he can get excited when meeting would be best with bigger kids. He loves to play in water outside! Spade can be left alone without being crated with no issues. He has no experience with indoor cats. Spade is neutered and UTD on all vaccines. Spade does have some anxiety which is being managed with Prozac. He will make a fun and great companion to a family with no other pets. A fenced in yard would be appreciated. Spade is available for foster or adoption, or foster-to-adopt. His adoption donation is $500. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
