Hi there! Dewey here.
I'm smart, treat-motivated, and already know sit, down, wait, and touch—basically, I'm the full package if you're ready to keep up with my energy and finish what we've started.
They wrote that I love to play. Understatement. I'd hike, fetch, and nap with you, in that order.
I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.
Born and (almost) raised right here in Garden City.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
If all goes well, I could be curled up with my new pack by Thanksgiving — maybe yours, whether you adopt me or just help me get noticed.
Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Dewey

About Dewey
Dewey is a 9-month-old Australian Cattle Dog weighing about 43 pounds who is smart, eager to learn, and treat-motivated. He is potty trained, crate trained, knows sit, down, wait, and touch, and is learning scent work. Dewey does well meeting new people including children, but will eat their toys, and he pulls on leash; he is leash reactive at the vet around other dogs but friendly with staff. He needs slow introductions to other dogs and could live with a calm dog or thrive as an only dog, requires a medium fenced yard in a quieter setting, must be crated when unattended, and does best with an owner committed to continued training. Dewey is up to date on vaccinations and neutered.
