After surviving on his own for nearly two weeks while wandering a neighborhood, charming residents with his love of treats before making daring escapes, Agave was finally rescued and welcomed into foster care, where he quickly stole everyone's heart. This intelligent, affectionate, and goofy pup loves spending his days outdoors bird-watching, chasing critters, splashing in the pool, and playing with his dog friends. Agave is leash trained, rides well in the car, enjoys swimming, and always has time for a toy or an adventure. He is also quite the conversationalist and isn't shy about sharing his opinions—whether it's reminding you that dinner is late, encouraging you to head out for a walk, or simply chatting about his day. Agave thrives with canine companionship and would do best in a home with another playful dog, as he can experience separation anxiety when left alone. He does not get along with cats and struggles with confinement, making crates and extended indoor-only living poor fits for his personality. Agave is happiest when he has room to explore, a secure yard to enjoy, and people who appreciate his independent spirit and loving nature.
