Rise and shine — hi! Bones here.
I've survived the streets alone, but what I really want is to rest my head on someone who'll never let me go again.
I'm the calm one (it's in writing). A quiet home and a patient hand and I'm yours.
I've been holding down the fort in Locust Grove, hoping someone like you would wander by.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
With a little luck, Halloween could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.
Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — Bones

About Bones
Bones was rescued by CCHS from the street very, very malnourished and neglected trying to defend for himself. Bones is a very sweet boy who just loves to give and receive all the LOVE in the world. He had fought against all odds handed to him to live and seek the life he so desperately deserves. He came to CCHS frightened, scared, malnourished and feeling defeated. He quickly picked up the name Bones from us not just because of his appearance but he was bad to the bone strong and showed so much courage and will to thrive. We put him on a complete loving care treatment and he regained his strength, optimal weight, opened up to trusting us and blossoming up with his full loving personality. Bones gets along with children and other dogs. He would make a great addition to your home and family. Bones is in great health and ready to be adopted into his forever home. Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Jonesboro, Georgia. Exceptions may be considered under certain circumstances. To apply to adopt, please complete our Preliminary Adoption Application. Submitting an application does not commit you to adopting. It allows us to determine whether the pet is a good match for your home and family. As part of the approval process, we verify the veterinary history of current and previous pets, including annual vaccinations and spay/neuter status. Please contact your veterinarian in advance and authorize them to release this information to Clayton County Humane Society. Dog adoption fees range from $250 to $400. Each dog receives: Age-appropriate vaccinations Spay or neuter surgery Heartworm testing and treatment, if necessary Deworming Flea prevention A microchip registered to the adopter You must have an approved application before scheduling a meeting with a pet.
