About Ahcan & Mabel
Mabel is a sweet Labrador Retriever who was found in Texas with her bonded companion Betsy. Though naturally shy when meeting new people, she has blossomed in her foster home and enjoys a goofy, playful side once comfortable. She is house and crate trained, good with other dogs (with proper introduction) and cats, and walks well on a harness with medium activity level—she loves to play but is equally happy to rest. Mabel is heartworm positive and currently undergoing treatment, which is manageable and successful; she will go on to live a happy, normal life after completing her course. She needs a secure yard as she can be an escape artist, and does best with children old enough to respect her need for time to warm up to new people. Mabel is bonded with Betsy and the two should be adopted together.
