Meet Dove Some dogs wear their hearts on their sleeves... Dove wears hers quietly, waiting for the right person to help it shine. This beautiful 3-year-old puppy mill survivor is a gentle, sweet soul who has come a long way in foster care. Once too timid to seek affection, Dove has discovered that cuddles are pretty wonderful and now happily hops into her foster mom's lap for love and attention. Dove enjoys the simple things in life—snuggling, tasty treats, spending time in the backyard, and playing with her canine friends. She has moderate energy and would love a securely fenced yard where she can continue to build her confidence and safely explore. Because of her past, Dove is still fearful of men, strangers, and unfamiliar situations. She is looking for a female-only household with a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Another friendly, confident dog is required to help show her that the world isn't such a scary place. She is still working on house training and currently uses pee pads, so her new family should be prepared to continue that journey with kindness and consistency. If you believe the greatest rewards come from watching a shy dog blossom into a cherished family member, Dove just might be the perfect match. Dove's adoption fee is $625. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, on heartworm and flea prevention, and ready to begin her next chapter with a family who will love her for exactly who she is.
