Looking for a canine companion who embodies comfort and joy? Meet Maris, a truly sweet and easygoing girl ready to find her forever home! Maris is a champion cuddler, happiest snuggled on the couch under a blanket with you. While she adores indoor snuggles, she also relishes outdoor adventures (as long as it's above freezing!). Maris is a social butterfly! She's lived peacefully with cats and showed playful curiosity when meeting other dogs. On walks, she's a polite leash walker, though she loves to zig-zag and sniff out all the interesting scents. A little practice checking in with her human will perfect her leash manners, but she truly enjoys her daily strolls. A safe, leashed environment is a must, as Maris doesn't have a reliable recall. This gentle soul is currently on a limited ingredient diet and paw medication, but don't let that deter you from this wonderful girl. Maris is content with a daily walk and some fun "sniffy time" in the yard, but is always up for more if you are! Get ready for her adorable foot stomps and huffs when she wants to play, and the full-body wiggles of pure joy when you walk through the door. Maris is the perfect blend of snuggly not clingy. She loves soft toys, relishing in their destruction (but never ingests fluff or squeakers!). A word of caution – she can be a little enthusiastic during tug-of-war, so sturdy toys are a must!
