Hey, friend! ROO here.
I've got a feeling you and I could be pretty great together.
I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — ROO 🐾
The rescue’s notes on ROO
Say hello to energetic Roo. This young athletic pup is an absolute stunner with super unique looks. Heâs got a ton of energy and is eager for adventure. It was hiking day and he was super excited to get geared up and jumped in the car like heâd been doing it every day. As we hiked , he pulled me up the hill a bit (thanks buddy!) but would also take breaks to check in with me and the group- looking around to see where everyone was. He could use some leash etiquette training, but he got better over time, so heâs definitely going to learn well with consistent reinforcement. Heâll definitely be a great match for a human/ family that likes to keep active and seeks out adventures in life. Heâs not overly affectionate but he definitely liked connecting and accepted me giving him head kisses after weâd covered the miles together. Heâs a definite goofball whoâs looking for his role in things. If youâre looking for a good buddy whoâs a little goofy, a little independent, and a lot handsome- Roo might be your guy. Head into the Burbank Animal Shelter to meet him for yourself! From Rooâs Day hike adventure on 3-10-26:Roo is an interesting fellow. He is smart and fun and adventurous. He checked in with me throughout the walk, which was very sweet. We started on the side streets and quickly moved to the path. We walked along Whitnall Highway North park and saw lots of people, pups, and squirrels. He eventually settled into his walk, and I suspect that with more practice, he'll be an excellent walker. He's really confident, which isn't unusual for a teenage boy. I look forward to spending more time with this special boy. I posted pics on IG and tagged the VBAS.
